Listening to: My families chatter
Feeling: intellectual
Wow, today was awesome! The day started off with tears, but ended with the greatest feeling in the world.
First mum was upset because my grandfather wasnt here to share thanksgiving with us anymore. Seeing mum cry made everything inside of me let out....when mum saw this she turned on the Macy's Day Parade, and all the little broadway "commercials." That was great.
We ate turkey with all my aunts and uncles, and goggled over my little three minth of cousin, Ryan James.
Then it happened.
I got to see my uncle in rehab! It was the greatest ever! The only thing is, now hes going to the second phase somewhere in Pennsylvania and I wont get to see him again till next July...:'O(
But not only did I see my Uncle, but I also saw his good friend from rehab. That man has been the inspiration of my life. Althoguh I dont know his age (im guessing his pretty young), he has two kids, a divorced wife, and had a drug problem. His parents had basically disowned him. At this point in his life, when he was in jail, he was almost ready for suicide, but someone saved him. Someone greater then everyone else in the world saved him. God saved him. While he was in jail, he started writing poetry, and he didnt even realize it was poetry until he re-read it. God helped him. I was fortunate enough to listen to him read some of his work...so much expression, pain, suffering, yet it was so beautiful. God really did save him.
NOT ONLY was he the biggest inspiration of my life, he also had a wonderful sense of humor, and was the master of card tricks, He taught me all of the card tricks he showed me, which he said, was somthing very rare.
Gosh I wish the world were made of more real people like him...people who know whats its like to suffer, to lose, to find god, and regain your life. I wish the best for him, the best ever.
His name was Eric by the way and I must say he HAS been the inspiration of my life.
Well I'm going to go shower and think of that...
Until tomorrow then,
Love Superman
