Metastatic Breast Cancer
Stage 4:
*Though classified here as "early stage," prognosis can be poor for some stage 2 cancers, particularly those with many involved lymph nodes.
Chances for survival are different for each stage of breast cancer. Early stage cancer (stages 1 and 2) has a better prognosis than later stage cancer (stage 3 and 4)
Aromatase
In addition, cancer that stays in the breast (localized cancer) has a better prognosis than cancer that has spread beyond the breast to the lymph nodes. The worst prognosis is for metastatic cancer, where the disease has spread beyond the lymph nodes to other parts of the body.
