5:14 Friday Afternoon   Hippopotamus Caleb came over last night and helped me bake cookies. Then he stayed for tea. He figured out the last two levels of The Game, and we watched The Medallion (it sucks, by the way). Then I drove him home. It was raining like a mofo! it was soooo cool, the roads were practically empty and the rain just came crashing down. Anyway, I dropped him off and was making a 3 point turn around (already a stupid idea). I wasn't watching the front of my car as i was back-turning (i've always had issues with it), and I rammed the front left corner into a big wooden telephone pole. The pole was okay, I was okay, and the car's left turn signal light case was smashed. There was also a dent in the plastic sheet under the signal. Baby's first car accident. It definitely could have been worse. I'm so blessed that it was only minor damage. Dad had a cow when I told him, though, as expected. But I got off a lot easier than i thought I would. He even said I was a good driver and it's hard to be a new driver in a different country but i needed to pay attention. and im pretty sure he's forgotten about the safe sex fair, so that's another plus. I was working on two smaller paintings today. you can tell what one of them is, as i used a reference of my sister's cat Mickey to paint it (mum wants me to paint Mickey so i am), and im trying something new. kinda surrealism, i guess. It's definitely not realism.
