4:25 Late Friday Afternoon (23 October 2009)   Dancing with a Drunken Sailor in a dream during a fever where do you go? so i have absolutely brilliant news. after immigrations massive fuck up with losing all our supporting documents, and after bear river health's massive mistake with making us do the wrong health check for the green card and after the mail's massive failure with losing Caleb's blood sample on the way to the testing facility... even after all of this we still managed to receive Caleb's documentation to work and travel, as well as our interview date. so you know what this means: PLANE TICKETS. Mind you I wanted to go to New Zealand for as long as possible, and I found some pretty cheap tickets for right after finals to the first week of class in January, but then Caleb's major professor was like "i don't want you to be gone that long!" So...I had to find something that was still cheap enough to buy but in a smaller time constraint. the only cheap flights are basically ON Christmas, so...guess what! we leave the states on the 23rd, skip the 24th because of the international date line, and then arrive in Sydney after 14 hours on Christmas morning, spend the whole day in Sydney on Christmas day (anyone know what there is to do in sydney on Christmas?), then fly out to Christchurch Christmas night and arrive in CHC at 12:10 boxing day morning. it gets better! at 6:45 am on boxing day, Caleb and I fly to Auckland to visit his mom's side of the family in their Christmas celebration. So...chch peeps who read this - who wants to visit us at the airport sometime between midnight and 7 am on boxing day? :) no one? that's what I thought. it's ok, we should be in Christchurch for realsies by new years. new years party! both belly dancing and soil judging went excellent
