Feeling: concerned
1:56 Early Saturday Afternoon (13 December 2008)   Wandering Around Columbia I hope Helena is having a good time in Columbia this Christmas. She was worried but I think she'll have a blast. Ah, I about died when I got my test results for microbiology back. 63%!! Man oh man, I haven't done that bad on a test since ecology last fall. I don't know how I could have done better, that's the worst part...I went to all the classes and took awesome notes and I studied for ages...so I feel pretty awful about it. Before I died, though, I went to my uni's website and checked to see if final grades had been submitted for any of my classes yet...somehow i scraped an A- out of micro. I feel like that's a cheap A- somehow, but hey, I'm almost certain now that I'll be keeping those scholarships. Got a solid A in Family Finance though...it helps to have a little bit of common sense sometimes. In other news, i don't really have to worry about it anymore because WHEEEEE the semester is over! Last night I went to Jeff's for an end-of-semester party. 16ish people were there and it was actually really awesome. There were people who drank their alkies, but no one was pressuring anyone else to drink - this is a change from some of the parties that I've gone to in recent weeks...a NICE change. Mind you, hanging out with Jeff and Caitlin etc. is rarely a bad time. On this particular evening, we played catchphrase for ages, then got in teams of 4 and played Cranium (well we tried, but it kind of dissolved into yelling random things and drawing obscene pictures...not that there's anything wrong with that). Then Emily and I got to talk for ages, which was great cos I haven't seen her in at least a month and have missed her a lot! and...my room is still an absolute mess. I really need to clean it though. maybe i should just start throwing stuff in boxes since i'm "moving out" tomorrow or Monday (to the basement). This room will then become my sewing room. so I also need to move the stuff from my previous sewing area into here. hmmm. too much to do and not enough motivation to do it.

i've met your sister. sitdiary wise, anyway.
Yeah, drinking parties are boring unless you're sitting around a few friends and talking about stuff that matters. Or something. I don't know. I like the beer/conversation thing and cocktail parties are cool, but flat-out drinking-and-nothing parties (especially with people you'd rather not be around) are pretty sucky.

I stand by the fact that the Renaissance woman thing is just an euphemism for indecisive person, but it makes me sound all swanky and I can dress up in a nice suit and sit in leather chairs sipping expensive wine or something. It really just means that I apparently know well enough about a wide range of things. I will be happy to argue the accurateness of that, so let's just stick to indecisive.

Gwen's just...experimental. The girl has let loose SO VERY MUCH since high school. Whatever makes her happy.

Well, I guess folks just lost the real meaning of christmas altogether. I think I'm just sad that it's all about corporates making money rather than the birth of...
Bahahaha, Gwen and Zeb never went out. Gwen just sortof wanted to be his girlfriend and thought Zeb cared. It was funny, in a sad way.

Yay for the end of semester! And for non-pressuring alkies. People still pressure others to drink at this old age? Lame. Oh. I just realized your drinking age is 21. Hmm. (ps. I think it's silly)

Man, all these rooms. What do you live in, a barn?

Is War, Inc the one with John Cusack? If it was, I would have heard of it and wanted to see it because I heart Cusack, but Hilary Duff looks horrendous in it. I didn't know about Dan Akroyd in a toilet though. NOW I MUST SEE IT.

Tom said Caleb left today. I was pretty busy with dad getting here and all on Friday so I couldn't make it to his going-away-thing :( Tell him I said sorry! Hope he gets there nice and safe and happy!
