12:14 Early Tuesday Afternoon   Hello I Don't Know Where I Am John's 21st was great, it was fun to see everybody and get 'dressed up.' and John acted like he enjoyed Caleb's and my gift which was great because I had so much fun putting it together and making up little notes to go with everything. He had the same birthday cake I had when i turned 17 (or 16 for the second time)!! Obviously not THE same cake, but he had it made at the same French Bakery I had mine made. It was kind of a fun little blast from the not-so-distant past. Also it was delicious, especially the marzipan birthday banner. Yesterday I mostly just bummed around. I did get up at 7 to accompany Chelsea to school. The idea was that I was going to ensure she didn't get lost, but I ended up forgetting where we were meant to get off and by the time I remembered (when Chelsea was like "hey weren't we supposed to get off there?"), it was too late. We got off at the next stop which was like half a kilometer from our intended stop! and we had to cross the road at a super busy roundabout. it was an adventure. Chelsea did manage to get to school on time, though. Then I walked to Riccarton Mall because the bus wasn't coming and i felt like having a morning walk. I wandered around Pak n Save looking at the prices of soy milk and then decided to go home empty-handed and try to talk to my folks on Skype. I got out just in time to catch the 5 home, and once home I ate food and washed dishes instead of talking to my parents. Ha. But I did eventually get online to talk to them. then I decided to make a very small prototype satchel bag out of some flannel unicorn fabric. it turned out pretty good actually and now I'm itching to make a proper one! then at 3 I bussed down to Riccarton where I met up with Chelsea and we went to the bus exchange to fix her Metro Card. It wasn't working properly, you see, she didn't have a birthday entered or something. So we got that sorted and went back to Caleb's house. in the evening, Caleb and I tagged along to cells with Nathan. We had dinner with the post high school youth and then split off for bible study. I ended up with the Luke study. we read chapter 8 and spent a long time discussing the ladies who were hanging out with Jesus, "providing for him with their own resources," which was interesting since I'd never really paid them much thought before. We also spent ages wondering why Jesus was so compassionate to the demons who requested they be banished to the swine instead of just being destroyed right there. Maybe Jesus had a sense of humour? since pigs are unclean and everything. I don't know. Anyway I'm meant to be meeting up with Caleb at Uni and then we're going to have tea at Browser's cafe where i can pet the kitty. I'm really angry with myself -- I haven't been taking many photos! It's appalling really; I must begin rectification of this gross photo deficit immediately. i love writing long diaries. :)

I hope this doesn't bring up any bad memories... but did you know that it was Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 when you felt you had almost killed me and your mother in your car when you only had your driving permit? It's been awhile. Oh good ol' days when we all learned how to drive. It made me smile. I love you. ~Love, me~

yay for long diary entries! Yeah, Coffee Culture sucks balls. So do most coffee places generally (the price of atmosphere and all that, disgusting). Except maybe underground and yellow rocket, and there are only like two yellow rockets in chch. Oh well.
