Listening to: Letter Kills
So I was going to write this entry yesterday since it has to do with yesterday back a few years back. When I decided to write an entry about this I couldn't think of something to exactly so so as I try to make the many gazillion thoughts in my head make sense, you must all bear with me. I mean if you decide to read this then you'll understand what I'm trying to say even if I can't get it out, read on and enjoy.
So as you all know September 11 was yesterday and four years ago the World Trade Centers were hit and destroyed. Yesterday when I was driving down nine mile and after I missed my turn I see a fire truck and it was facing the street with the ladder up and there was a flag hanging from the top. I'm actually still surprised on how many people still care? I mean with the bombings in London and then Hurricane Katrina and the troops still overseas that's all you hear about. Its good to know that people still car. I also hate how people are blaming President Bush. Seriously, terrorism was here before he became President and I agree with the war and everything. I voted for Bush and obviously I'm not the only one that did since he is still the president and all but don't comment saying anything about him or the war because I won't hear it and I'll just delete it. I mean this is my LiveJournal and I write what I want so get over it.
I mean four years ago when the planes hit I was a sophomore in high school sitting in my second hour english class. Its weird thinking that its already been four years since this happened. You know at the time I wasn't sure what had happened, I was young and couldn't figure things out. That's all they talked about on the news and Channel One. You know then months later Bush says that since Bin Laden and all those damn people won't give in or something he declared war on Iraq. I voted for Bush because I think that he's doing the right thing and I know that people are going to question what I'm saying but shut up because I don't want to hear it. I know that a lot of innocent people have been killed and died because of the things that happened years ago, but sometimes its not our fault. I mean not all Americans are bad and yeah there's a war and a lot of people have died but a lot of innocent people are killed in America too.
I don't have any friends or family in the war so maybe I would feel differently if I did. I know two kids in the military. One is in the USMC and he's going back to Japan in a few days and the other kid is in the USA and he's in Germany or was last time we heard from him. Terrorism is something that will always be around and yes people will die, but I feel like sometimes its your stupidity that gets you killed and by joining you know what you're doing and risking your own life. I mean if you have your mind set on something, you're going to do it no matter what and sometimes that's just the chance that you take. I remember almost two years ago sitting in my english class my senior year in high school and it was right after that American got beheaded. We ended up finding the video on the internet and playing it in class. In the long run we got yelled at and yes we played it more than once and yes people were upset but how were we supposed to know because they didn't speak up.
Its just weird thinking that all of that happened four years ago. Then again, I truly believe that there will never be peace on earth and not everyone will be happy no matter who runs the government or how many wars there are. It just seems like its the way of life. So maybe a million years from now when everyone dies because the sun blows up and earth is destroyed then things will be better since no one will be able to speak their opinion since they'll all be dead.
The End
Thanks for the good luck.
