The saddest part of the whole story is that she would prefer to be locked up. She wants to be locked up. It would be easier, it would be better, it would be safer.
Her parents should have guessed by now, but they don't seem to be taking the hint.
She had fun last night. She still thought about things she would have been better off not thinking about. But in general she had fun. Even if her friend's dad now thinks she was drunk. She had wished she was.
She has a newfound love for mocha things. Anything mocha. This is quite strange considering she used to loathe the taste of coffee.
Today her and her mother went to Borders. They bought many books. She loves books. She doesn't read as much as she'd like to, but she loves buying books. She has a list of books she will read. On this list includes: White Oleander (must see how different it is from the movie), Crank, The Silent Boy, Ellen Foster, Of Mice and Men, Jane Eyre, she needs to finish Camille and Tithe, and all of the other new books they purchased. This summer will be fun. She can just imagine walking to the park and sitting on the swing reading a good book. Or going to the beach and getting a tan while reading, or even doing the same thing by Tara's pool. She can't wait til summer. Michigan. Yum.
She likes to read, but hates to write essays and at the moment she must go write an outline for her in-class Frankenstein essay.
Then she will study for the vocabulary test.
And then she will stay up all night reading Tithe.
