She just couldn't imagine not being able to walk in the sand,
smell the ocean,
taste the spray of water,
feel the water,
feel the tingle in her toes as she takes her first step into the cold ocean,
sit and watch the sunset as the waves crash,
run around and spin and collapse in the sand.
it's the best feeling in the world at the beach.
So as you might be able to tell, she went to the beach today.
mmhmm.
From First to Last is a good band.
Anyway...
School didn't seem to go by fast enough.
New World Symphony is the most amazing song. Finale is the best movement. Dvoräk is a genius. If he was still alive she would marry him.
They started state testing yesterday.
It's such a waste of time.
She brought her ipod...but no headphones. Dumbass.
She forgot her key to the house today.
Jumped over the fence, which has never been accomplished alone, and it was painful.
Had to squeeze her body through the dog-door. Keep in mind it is for a small dog, a sheltie.
Realized she wouldn't fit with her sweatshirt on.
Got a bruise on her hip.
Marissa texted her.
She called Marissa around 3:18.
Walked to Marissa's house.
Tara's mom picked them up to take them to the harbor.
They went into Ventura Swimwear & then some giftshop where the lady was so nice that Marissa & her just wouldn't stop smiling.
They love genuinely nice people.
Went to the Harbor Hatter.
Bought fabulous pink sunglasses (Tara got orange ones.)
Took pictures until her camera died.
left to right: Lauren, Tara, Marissa
They went and had dinner at Harbor Sushi. It was the most wonderful sushi any of them had ever tasted.
"This is a Godly masterpiece," exclaimed Marissa.
And for all three of them it only costed about 14 dollars.
They went to the arcade & played Dance Dance Revolution, embarassing themselves horribly. But it was great fun.
Skylar came, Marissa left, Lauren was the third wheel, yet again.
They walked along the beach & found a hut someone had made so sat in there.
She left Tara and Skylar alone.
Walked all the way to the end of the beach.
Sat in the wet sand.
Lay (lye?) down in the wet sand.
Tara calls & asks where she is.
She comes back but stops in the water, pulls her pants up and wades in it.
All three of them go across the water to this strip of land.
They spin.
They jump.
Lauren feels more of it than either of them.
She continues walking in the water as they head back to the harbor to wait for her mom to pick them up.
Tara comes over.
They pull out so many old cds and listen to them and dance and have an awesome time.
Tara leaves and she is alone.
And hungry.
And needs to watch Empire Records again before her mom takes it back.
Tomorrow...hopefully her mom will take her to Salzer's after she sleeps...a lot.
sushi is goooood.
