Closing night was wonderful and sad at the same time. It was wonderful b/c we did really well, and we can leave this experience knowing we put a lot of hard work in to it. I can look back,and not only be proud of the work we did, but also be happy a/b all the new friends I made. It was sad because it was finally The End. No more all day rehearsals, no more cast outings,no more telephone hour, no more shows. it's all over. The cast party at Cathys was bittersweet. I wanted so badly to block out that nagging feeling that this was the last time we would all be together, and just have fun and enjoy the party, but I just couldn't. It was just a weird feeling. Lou gave me the Townie award for best theatre newcomer, which made me feel really really good. I got some other great gifts, too. When I got home at 1:15, I decided to watch the Bye Bye Birdie video. The show really was good haha. Then, I wanted it again, but that time I only watched the scenes with the teens in it. I hope I keep in touch with everyone. But if not then I will forever have the wonderful memories of 'bye bye birdie'.
