Listening to: unworthy of your love-assassins
Feeling: intoxicated
So, after seeing Assassins on Friday, I've really been intrigued by all of the characters and their insanity, but Giulia's character is by far the most faschinating. Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme. If you don't know who she is, she's the most "notable" Mansonite. If you don't know who Charles Manson is, then this whole entry won't make sense. So, I asked Lauren(nyc lauren, not one that lives here) if she knew if the characters that were still surviving, knew they were in the musical and she told me the girl that played Squeaky on bway penpalled with her.
SO of course I found the articles and interviews with the actress and I mean how interesting. She said that Squeaky is a real human not just a cult figure, and that she is very "bright" and "sweet natured" which really aren't two words I would've used for the girl. Anyway, the actress even found out Mansonites didn't wear underwear, so she didn't wear underwear during the run of the show.
Now, of course Squeaky is a horrible person, as are all Mansonites, but still very interesting. The most exciting part to me though was what lengths actors go to to play a character well. I don't think I could ever write a murderer and ask her for some character motivation. But I do want to play Squeaky one day because she is a bit of comic relief in the show and she does get to sing Unworthy of Your Love. Sorry to people that found this entry boring and pointless.
