Listening to: Octet- The Light in the Piazza
Feeling: zoned
Alrighty! No more shows until Tuesday night..ok so that's like the shortest time off ever, but it feels like a real actual break.
Last night wasn't fun. I had a stomach ache the whole time. Giulia tried to comfort me, but I still felt sick. Fortunatly, one of the orphans wanted to call '10 minutes' for me so I didn't ahve to climb the stairs a lot. And Jennifer(Grace) thanked me afterwards and told me I was so helpful
Today was very...eventful. During 'Hard Knock Life' the lights went out because of the storm. The band was still working though, so the orphans acted as if nothing had happened, singing and dancing in the dark. They were such pros about it! So, we finished act 1 with just the spotlight because that was working. The soundboard wasn't and neither were the other lights. We actually stood in the wings, and made figure eights with flashlights during 'nyc' to make it more interresting. It was sad.
Then, after a long intermission, they had to use just normal lights which were ugly, but better than dark.
Hmm..anything exciting backstage? Anita spoke to me! she was like 'hey dear, how are you today?' and I said 'great. and you?" and she told me my pants were cute. But other than that, nothing good happened. Megan(Annie)'s mom is really nice to me. She calls me 'baby' and congratulated me on getting to be a Boylen sister for the hold over so that was a good thing about today too.
Tomorrow, I have monday masters so I'll see Dedra for the first time since competition. That's exciting. But that's it for tomorrow. Bye!
