I don't really wanna write about how I threw up like 12 times last night, etc. I was sick. Okay. That's all I wanna say about that.
I was watching the opening night of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels video on broadway.com and I recalled something that I don't think I wrote about here.
Picture this: We're in the Imperial Theatre, near the end of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. John Lithgow and Norbert Leo Butz(ahh my lover) are onstage.
Singing:
John: We got screwed for 50 grand
Norbert: I think we still deserve a ha-and.
Maybe you had to be tehre to understand what happened next. We stood up and clapped and screamed and cheered. My whole body was just taken over by, well, by happiness. I can't really explain it. And there it was. A standing ovation in the middle of a show, in the middle of a song!! Can you imagine? It was beautiful. Beautiful for us the audience, and I'm sure even more for Norbert and John.
And just to remind you: I MET SUTTON FOSTER.
So, I'm homesick. Yes, homesick even though I am "home". But to me, NYC is home. It's where I'm happy, and where my heart is..so doesn't that make it home?
I want to be there so bad. And see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels again. And meet Sutton Foster again. Hell, I'd see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang again.
