Listening to: You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile-Annie
Feeling: ambitious
Everyone, I have a thrilling announcement. I, Lori Anna Wheat, am going to this years Tony Awards!!! Camp Broadway is offering the opportunity for 50 people to go to take 3 master classes, go to a "mocktail" party, and "walk the red carpet" of the Tony Awards. P.S.- some people don't know what the Tonys are, their like the Academy awards for Theatre people. I can't wait! SQUEE!
This Friday, I have to sing at the Artfest, and Mrs.Ingham told me to pick two solo songs, so I think I'm singing "Astonishing" from Little Women and either "Not For The Life of Me" or "Gimme Gimme" from Thoroughly Modern Millie.
School was aggrivating today. I don't like school. It's boring and slow.
Broadway Bound was alright. We had to re do our formations for some things because Keith isn't doing it anymore. Dedra assigned understudies for the solo parts for competition, and I didn't even get to audition because Sydney was the second person to audition and Dedra chose her. I wish Dedra had given me a chance.
After Broadway Bound, Hannah, Bart, and I went down into the house, where Shannon(Beauty and the Beast director) and some other Oklahoma people were waiting for rehearsal to start.
Hannah sat down, and started to play "Some Things Are Meant To Be" from Little Women. I didn't think she would sing, but she sang the first line, and then I joined in. I sounded bad, but it felt good to sing, and for the people in there to hear us, and to be singing THAT song. Unfortunatly she didn't know the chorus, but she is amazing at the piano.
She gave me a burned cd and told me to listen to number 8 and 9. I got in the car, and told my mom to be silent. Number 8 was "Suddenly Life" a song that got cut from Little Women, but is so sweet. I cried. Then, I listened to number 9 which was cute. Then, I found "Some Things Are Meant To Be" and cried.
Um..
I think I'm finished. bye
