We ride down a slope towards the main, large army of men. They are surprised to see that I have brought a woman with me to war, and they start laughing.
I shoot them all an ice cold stare and they shut up. I jump off my horse and walk towards a large tent in the center of the army, where the general of the large army prepares for battle.
He stands as I enter the tent, followed by my captain and my love.
"What are you doing here?" He asks. He makes a motion to one of the three chairs in front of his small wooden desk and we sit in them.
"I come bearing a warning. The last time we faced a force this big of those creatures, we were massacred. I was the only survivor." I explain. The general nods. He stands, the candle light of the tent glinting off his crimson coloured armour. The rest of his army is dressed the same way, as my horsemen have the same armour I do.
"There are several vacant tents on the hill if you require them." The General offers. I smile.
"Thank you." I say, then walk out of the tent. My love, my captain and I walk towards the three tents offered, and I enter one, to find it fully furnished with a large bed, a wooden table for my armour, and candles everywhere for illumination.
I take off my belt and cape and lay them on the table. I finish taking off the rest of my armour. I put on a black t-shirt and my black pants and leave my black leather boots on. I walk out of my tent, and my love enters it. She takes off her armour as well and lays it beside mine before walking out the tent in garb similar to my own.
"It is late. I'm going to sleep." she says before walking back into the tent. She is right, it is getting late. I walk into the tent, and find her sleeping on her side, leaving enough room for me to crawl into bed as well.
I crawl in and close my eyes. Tomorrow the battle will begin.
