A gust of wind blows past us all, blowing Cervantes' cloak around, blowing the back of my trenchcoat around and ruffling Kendrick's hair.
Cervantes makes the first move, running towards us faster than I expected. Kendrick and I dodge to either side of him, but Cervantes stops and slashes out at Kendrick. The monk brings up his staff to protect him, but Cervantes' blade splinters it and almost slashes a gash across the monk's chest. Kendrick manages to save his own life by leaping backwards and grabbing a broadsword off Cervantes' wall of swords.
I line up a shot with Vincent's gun and fire it, blowing one of Cervantes' small swords from his hand. His gaze darts up to me, and he runs at me, angered.
He swings his sword down at me, and I just manage to bring up my katana in time to save myself. He presses his blade down on mine, and I wince as I try to push him back.
A look of pain overcomes his pale face, and he spins around to see the broadsword that Kendrick had embedded in his leg.
Cervantes' look of pain fades away, overcome by anger. He grips the handle of the broadsword and wrenches it from his leg. He stands, completely ignoring me. He throws it back at Kendrick, who ducks and save his own life.
I stand up and line up another shot with Vincent's gun. I blow the other sword from Cervantes' hand, and his head spins around to face me again.
"Oh hell." I say, before Cervantes runs up to me and slugs me across the face. I fly backwards into a wall, losing Vincent's gun along the way.
"Pyroth Helios!" I hear, and a massive fireball engulfs Cervantes. I look over at Kendrick, who was using his magic again.
"Thanks friend." I say. He nods to me, but the fire engulfing Cervantes dissipates, and he looks angrier than ever, although severaly burned.
He runs up to Kendrick and backhands him across the face, sending him into a back wall and knocking him out.
Cervantes turns to me, and I try to stand, but I am still dizzy from the blow he gave me earlier.
He picks up Vincent's gun as he walked towards me and aimed it at me as I tried to stand.
"See you in hell." He says with a smirk, right before he pulled the trigger, with the shot hitting me right in the gut. Blood flows from the wound, and I feel it filling my mouth as I try to speak.
