I gritted my teeth, jumped to my feet and ran across the roof as fast as I could. The men struggled to keep their eyes on me, so I kept running until I reach the hillside.
I searched frantically for somewhere to hide, and found a place. Several men ran at me from behind, all bearing swords coated in the vampire killing metal.
One swung high, one swung low, and one swung at my waist, all at the same time. I concentrated on flying and jumped straight up into the air, and all of their attacks never landed.
I landed behind one and grabbed the back of his neck. I shoved him forward into the second one, and they both toppled to the ground. The third one swung his sword at me, and I ducked the attack. I came up and gave him the hardest uppercut to his jaw I could.
His feet lifted from the ground and he went backwards into the hillside. He sagged to the roof and didn't move.
I turned my attention to the other two, who were pulling themselves up. One was about to swing his sword at my, but I booted him in his hand before he had the chance. I heard the bones in his hand all break, and he screamed in pain.
I spun around and drove my heel into the face of the last one, and he sagged to the ground. With the three men down, I quickly ran away from them to the hiding spot I had found on the hillside.
I had just caught a glimpse of it before the fight, but it looked like a small cavern in the side of the hill. It might have just been a natural gouge in the landscape, but when I got there I discovered it was indeed a cavern.
It was narrow and deep, which would help me greatly.
I pushed myself through the opening sideways, and continued down the narrow gap sideways until the crevace came to a large sphere cavern, which had a large amount of moisture in the air.
I walked into the cavern, and turned to the exit, which was the way I had come in.
I heard the guards being scolded by someone, and I sensed the vampire presence I had felt earlier. I wondered if the vampire was their commander, and my thoughts were confirmed when I felt anger grow in the presence, and the scolding of the guards grew intense.
"What do you mean he escaped?!?" The vampire shouted.
"I'm very sorry master Athad, but he moved fasted than anything I've ever seen and we had no way of stopping him." I heard.
I now knew the vampire commander's name. Athad. I remembered that, and continued listening to the scolding.
"I don't want excuses! Find him and kill him!" Athad shouted.
Athad came into view. He was very pale, he had black eyes that stood out against his skin, and he had a black goatee. He had long black hair, and wore a shiny suit of steel armour, that was made of metal plates and was form fitting, so it constantly adjusted to the curves of his body.
I studied my new enemy. He obviously wasn't as powerful as I was, otherwise he would've sensed my presence watching him, and he would've come in here to kill me already.
At his waist hunge a long bladed steel sword, that was coated in the vampire killing metal, so I made a mental note to avoid him completely.
He walked away, as did the three underlings I had beaten down. I walked back into the large sphere like cavern and sat down on a rock, contemplating my plan of escape while dawn approached.
