When Luke, Kathleen and I got to the ground level of the castle and made it to the entrace, the Knights were there, all holding blood covered blades. Their faces were spattered with the blood of the enemy, and they looked happy to see me, and happier to see Kathleen was alive.
"What's going on?" Luke asked.
Quexos stepped forward, wiping his blade clean on the fragment of an enemy vest. He put it into its sheath and straightened up.
"A large army just suddenly arrived when we finished off the guards. They've gathered their forces completely around the castle and are demanding that they speak to Edward." he said. I nodded, and walked towards the wooden gate of the castle.
The Knights made no attempt to stop me, so I shoved the gate open wide, to see Edward's large army of ten thousand black armoured troops. A tall one wearing a large red cape stepped toward me, and looked me over.
"Where is Edward?" He asked.
"He is dead." I replied. He looked angered.
"How did he die?" He asked.
"He grew mad over his obsession to rid the world of all that is evil and threw himself on his own weapon he made to kill vampires." I lied.
The captain stood silently, and a look came over his face that I didn't expect? Relief?
"Good. I was wondering when that old fool would die." He said before smiling. He turned to his men, summoned a man wearing a blue cape, and spoke something to him I didn't hear.
"You can all go home now." I said.
"We intend to. We didn't want to fight, Edward recruited us on emptry promises of riches." The man said before he turned, and the massive army marched away.
I was amazed. They had intended on rebelling against Edward from the beginning. I was glad The Order was here though. They had prevented a lot of innocent blood from being spilled, and probably stopped another war.
I smiled. That was why Luke and I had created The Order. Content with the work of The Order, I turned to Kathleen and kissed her.
