The knight attacked first, while Janet jumped backwards to get her knife.
The knight snapped off an attack at my neck, and his sword also gleamed with the vampire killing metal. I blocked his attack with one swift blow of my sword, and stabbed out at him.
He batted my attack aside, but I swung my left fist, and punched my metal gloved fist into his cheekbone.
The impact sent him reeling, and he fell to the floor. Janet came screaming at me with her knife in her hand, and I stepped on her foot. She winced, and I backhanded her across the face.
She fell to the ground and the knife went skittering across the floor, and the knight pulled himself to his feet.
He stabbed out at me, with a blow that should've hit my shoulder. I angled my body so that the blow glanced off, and he tumbled forward.
I smashed the hilt of my sword down onto his spine, and he dropped forward to the ground. I kicked him brutally in the ribs, and turned my attention to Janet.
She scampered across the floor to her knife, and when she grabbed it she threw it at me like a throwing knife. I just barely managed to move my shoulder from the weapon's path, and turned to see the knight stabding beside me, pulling his sword back as though to stab me with it.
I jerked to the left, and his stab missed. I smashed the hilt of my sword off of his extended arm, and his sword fell from his grasp and to the floor.
I backhanded him across the face and he fell backwards, and I prepared to strike him down.
Janet kicked me in the back of my right knee, and I dropped to one knee before her knight. He jumped to his feet and she tossed his sword to him, which he caught with his left hand.
He prepared to strike me down, when I heard someone shout behind him. The knight turned, and I leaned to my left to see who it was.
It was Inekwar, his mother and a group of one hundred white armoured guards, who had broken in through the front door of the chambers after killing any resistance and forcing the guards to surrender.
I smirked, and stabbed out with my blade.
My black blade pierced the armour over the knight's stomach, and blood began pouring from the wound. I twisted the blade, causing him agony, and he dropped to his knees.
I pushed my blade forward until it's point emerged from his spine, and I ripped it free of the wound, splattering his blood all over the cold stone floor.
He sagged to the ground, and I stood.
Before I could turn to face Janet, I felt a piercing pain in my lower back.
