Listening to: Shindlers Workforce-John Williams
Feeling: torn
During a game of euchre, our boss called. She informed me that my double shift this upcoming Saturday may not be a go. The two employees are back from Disney now and that means some shifts will be lost. I pray I don't loose any hours. I need to at least be working 5 shifts a week. It makes going 48 miles round trip to work worth it.
Things are going okay with the family. Not too many attitude spouts. We've had our clashes but it seems like some of it is finally simmering down to bearable level. The time at home is hectic though. There are lots of projects to be done this summer and we're running as fast as we can on the work machine. The eaves have been replaced on the screen room and our yard will be torn up starting tomorrow for a new leech bed and septic tank. We still need to reshingle the garage roof and put some shelves up in Beth and my rooms.
School is just around the corner. I have to contact Maryanne and see if she would like me to just buy the area rug for the room. I'll be moving in around 8 am on move-in day, so the rug needs to be down before the other roommate gets in. I'm excited to go back to Purdue. I don't miss the academics, that's for sure. This year however, I have people to hang out with and have some fun on the weekends with. I won't be cooped up in my dorm room all weekend long or all evening long as well, or so I hope.
