You work a work shift. You've been working since 5:30 in the morning. 10:00 am rolls around and your shift ends. Where are you? Still working. You finish up the task you're working on and get ready to leave. A cook grabs you and makes you stay later. You're already going over your time allotment. Now you're stuck doing utensils cause the cook doesn't have time to do them and no one else cleaned them because they were busy with other tasks too. It's annoying. I shouldn't have had to stay after like that. We don't get paid overtime. We're not allowed overtime at this place. If we breach 40 hours they have to pay benefits and that kills our paychecks. Gah! I hate it when this happens. It's okay if it is just once in a blue moon, but no. It happens all the time. Yesterday I had to sneak out at exactly 10 cause I had a final at 10:20. Since my final is this afternoon, I got stuck working until 10:15. That just irks me. Still not getting any sleep. Was up all night coughing and restless. Oh but I did find out that my girl is going to be just fine. She hurt her back but only cause she agitated a spot of arthritis in her spine. She got some heavy aspirin from the vet and now she's back to her old self. I still get to baby her when I get home and trust me, that'll happen. That's it. I have nothing else left to rant or be thankful for. Things will happen later on today, like a final, but that's about it. The break is practically here and so is another winter storm. Crap.
