Back at my dorm, have been for the last 2 1/2 hours. The break was long and tiring. We got my room painted and carpeted. However, we did not get it completely set up. The bed, dresser, and desk are the only items in my room right now. I did help replace the receptors and face plates around the room yesterday. The schedule got thrown out the window due to my grandma being really ill. She spent Monday night to yesterday morning at Memorial and St. Vincent. We had many road trips and my mom spent many nights out late until 3 am. The room is a nice off white with a hunter green carpet. It's nice to have it no longer pink. The thought of the color makes me want to gag. Anyways, I went bowling twice over break and I believe my scores are getting better. I have been throwing decently high games. My ball however is not fairing well. It is being taken to Rochester to Quick Lanes to be fixed. Freshmen year of high school on bowling club, the machines in Warsaw destroyed my newly bought resin bowl and one of the alleys back here in Logan put a plug in the holes. Now the plug is starting to pull out and Dad is going to get it sanded back down. I'll just have to wait until probably Easter before I get my ball back unless I go home soon. I doubt it though. I only have 2 weekends to make it through before Easter. Bad news from this week is this. The pool is history. Dad is so angry with lack of help rendering from part of the family that he was really thinking about not getting the pool up and running. This morning, after a spat with Beth, he said it's final. Totally not cool! Now I have to pay to go swimming this summer. I hate going to Tower and the Y. Even France Park isn't all that great. I thoroughly enjoyed having a pool to swim in during the afternoons and after dark. Now I don't get that anymore. Poo. Anyways, lots is left to do with my room back home. I don't expect Dad to finish the room while I'm gone even though we have a blueprint of the finalized room. So as you can tell, this break was busy and tiresome. I didn't get any homework done really. I have a paper due Thursday for History and I have to have a huge reading assignment done by Tuesday for English, and I have my chem lab report, lab outline, and prep for in lab quiz to do. Lots of work to do but I'm just so tired I don't know if I'll be up to doing anything tonight. I doubt it. I just want to curl up in my loft and go to sleep and never wake up. -Kat-
