Listening to: Bon Jovi - It\'s My Life
Feeling: peaceful
My mind is blank. Yes, that's right - blank. For once in my... nevermind, something just popped in there. So how are we all doing today? I hope that everyone's day was somewhat more exciting then mine as my day was relatively more dull then usual. Oh yes, it is possible. That's not to say that I was bored because in my spare time I was able to put a plan and schedule together for a group of people - but other then that it wasn't productive and consequently it was much more monotonous. Funny how that works eh? Well, at least I find it to be that way. I think I really should find a dancing partner or a badminton partner or someone to do something with. Get our mind out of the gutter! Though, that may not be too bad of an idea *ponders* nevermind, bad idea. Getting back to what I was saying, think I need to really get involved in something. Maybe to get an occupation? My folks don't want me working while I'm attending school though. Something about it taking away from my school work or something. I don't know. Personally I think I work better under pressure but then again, what do I know?
And speaking of not knowing much, I'm still clueless as to what I'll be writing my History ISU on this semester. It has to be an argumentitve essay on anything before the 16th century. I was personally thinking about Ganghis Khan or possibly even the French Revolution and Napolean... Though the problem is that I've got to have something to argue. Anyone can put together a research essay, but to put together an argumentitve essay, that's a totally different skill. To quote Steven Wright "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism — to steal from many is research." And how true is that? I can really get a bunch of stuff from around (which we shall call 'item K') and throw it together to be the exact same as any individual piece of reference, but it is not because it is from many. However, to take a peice of work from one person (which is identical to the peice of work which we titled 'item K') is caled plagiarism because we can identify where the source was from. Basically plagerism is being caught for not being able to elude people as to where we got our information from.Oh, when will people learn that the teachers are catching you by using goggle's website and that if you're going to plagiarize, just don't get caught! Oh well, this is all I shall speak of on the matter and I shan't bring it up again.
Q1: So what's black, white, blue, purple and bleeding?
A1: A nun who just fell down a flight of stairs.
Q2: What's black, white, red and laughing?
A2: The Priest who just pushed her!
Nevermind. Where's your sense of humor at? Sorry, I just remembered that joke from when I was in grade eight or seven... seven or eight rather. That was about the same time really started to get into the whole pirate thing.I mean, they try to force this whole confirmation, lets love god thing onto you; even if you're not ready. Oh sure, they tell you that if you don't feel right or read about it, to not do it. But you know damn well that if you do't your parents'll be disappointed (even if they too say they're not, they'll at least be wondering what's going on.) And even the school will be somewhat apprehensive. You can kiss any awards from there on out good bye. Personally, I was cool with it - never really bothered me, but with the whole surfacing of the scandals in the church and all... maybe that's why I started to turn away from organized religion and kinda dove into the life of a pirate. That's not to say that I live like a pirate or talk like on either, because as you can see, I do not. But there's always been some form of appeal about the life of a pirate... aside from the scurvy, disease, and missing limbs. I didn't know it then, but putting in my time with the knowledge and miscellanous happenings would eventually pay off to the point whereby I have me own crew, ship, and a damn good rank. Even got meself a pirate - a colourful lasse she is too. But anyway, like I was saying, I think that the corruption and dislikement towards the organization/ corporation that is the R. Catholic faith, inadvertently sprung me towards my previous submergment into the whole pirate thing.
And now... well now we've got a movie based on pirates, and although it may not be totally accurate of what use to go on, it's a damn good movie. And to go along with it, we've got a bunch of no good miscreants running around N.A. and Europe claiming to be pirate when in fact there be only a few good and true pirate crews out there.
And speaking of a few good stuff, last night, during the superbowl (which, by the way, New England won, meaning my team won, meaning.. well yea) I was watching "The Untouchables" - really good movie based upon the times of Al Copone. Not a movie based on "the life and times of" but he was involved and he was played by, a superb actor: Robert DiNero. Needs to put on a little more weight, but other then that he did a damn good job. He's a good actor though, honest to god. If you get the chance see it. It's not as "shoot em up" as you might think, but if you're in the least bit interested or not bored with mob/action/cop movies, I say see it. I give it an even 4.25 out of five.
Yea, so that's it for me, I'm out of here because I've got math waiting for me which is due tomorrow... well, not really but in a sense it is. Farewell, Good night and I'll see you back here tomorrow-ish.
Sincerely,
-Captain B. Working
