Listening to: Lifehouse- Cling and Clattter
Feeling: cautious
Well, none of this will ever fit into my journal at all, but I was just sitting here cheking around and all. I found something that I'm about to post. Some say it that's form the students of columbine, some say that it's their work basd on earlier stuff, and some say that it's just not by them. Personally I don't give a damn but I'm just putting it here for you to see. It's not meant to be philosophical so don't rack your brains or anything, just read it to yourself quietly and tell me what you think.

PARADOX OF LIFE
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrow viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more expert, but more problems; more medicine but less wellness. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We have learned how to make a living, but not a life; we have added years to life, but not life to our years. We have been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We have cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we have split the atom, but not our prejudice. We have higher incomes, but lower morals; we have become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are the times of tall men and short character; steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food but less nutrition.
These are the days of two incomes, and more divorce; of fancier houses but broken homes. It is a time when there is too much in the show window (outwardly) and nothing in the stockroom (inwardly); a time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to make a difference or just hit delete.

Like I said, just leave your thoughts. There another one here for your more socialist people, this is again, not by me but by someone else, it's not as fancy or anything - in fact its not really much at all but I know he wouldn't mind me putting it up here just for you to see, it's a poem of his:

A PERFECT WORLD
Outside my window, it rains tonight –
But, in the real world, there’s a constant fight.
What happened to our morals, our values and our soul?
Could that be why, parents have no control?
And as our world slowly falls apart,
We turn to the thinkers, like Rene Descartes.
What if we expanded our minds and shared our love,
Then we wouldn’t argue about the God above.
What if we put aside racism, prejudice and hate;
And inside of ourselves locate,
A place where we could live, be safe and have fun?
What if tonight, the earth was as one?
What if no capitalism, communism, truancy,
What if there was, ‘a perfect democracy’?
What if we were the same, from sea to sea,
Then could we actually be happy?
Yet, outside my window, it rains tonight,
As I wonder if we shall ever, see the light.

He claims that it's nothing much but I found it interesting. It doesn't have a point per- say, but it's has a nice idealistic thing going on. Unfortuantely I don't have much time to reflect here so I'll just leave this here for you people to look at and just comment on at your leisure. Just... just try to take care of yourself, and each other.
