It's crap, that's what. So I have a car, and I don't have a CD player, so I've kinda been weened into listening to the radio, and so much of it is such crap. I really dislike how all of this stuff tries to talk about how original it is, and how much of a difference the "artist" is making and how spiritual and sympathetic they are, whereas in reality they could care less about that stuff, they just play power chords to correspond with useless lyricism that fits into the same mold as every indie rock/emo song as its predecessors. Stuff like this kinda gets me down as a musician, thing is, I know it's all been done before, so I might as well have fun playing regardless of how it sounds... i think that it's about having fun. And if you can make a message that holds strong to your beliefs (outside of how your girlfriend dumped you and you want people to feel so sorry for your bitter soul) than all power to that my man. I love making music, but with coffee house tryouts in full swing, it gets depressing when you hear all these kids arguing about who gets credit for making what chord progression, and how they deserve more credit... My philosophy is, if you're a talented enough musician, you shouldn't have to keep your music to yourself, but you need to stand in the balance of flaunting yourself, like one too many kids @ my school have adopted as their own. I miss Hadas, sorry... I know that was kinda random, but she hasn't been around lately, and I haven't talked to her in while. Anyways, i'm going to bed guys... sleep well.
