Bandwagons

Feeling: sporty
Two drastically different things happened today... both involving church. One of which was our choir gig @ SHS (more specifically, the church that meets there Sunday mornings). It was interesting to hear everyone's take on Christianity and worship for that matter, I think it's cool that we were put in a awkward sitch like that. I think some people need to learn what respect is, but otherwise I thought it was really cool. One thing that I did notice about my peers today was this... if they fail to see relevance in any topic (especially religion) they will completely deny it and give it no chance whatsoever for the sake of being cool, or due to how it makes them uncomfortable... that what I love about God though, he constantly takes this suave little reputation I've earned for MYSELF and just wrecks it in front of my eyes... it's fantastic really. Just the fact that I'm aware of this makes me think differently about life. It's really cool when you're living for God and not just saying you are, ya know? When you're not just pretending. I'm starting to learn that I'm not on Earth for me. I love these people though, they have so much potential and so much talent, it's the coolest thing. The second of the important things that happened today was during discipleship (or it just was discipleship itself rather). We met at Panda Express and had some lunch... you know, the usual "Ridiculous sales on EBay" talk. Then we went over to Scott's apartment and just talked about life, and love, and God and went over the chapters in this book we're reading. It's cool to meet with guys your age in different situations, because when you get to really know them, you start to get a better understanding of how other peoples' lives work, and how they think, and where they're flawed, and what makes them awesome. I love not pretending, I think I found that much out today. I'm sick of just being a Christian upon questioning. I don't want to force anything on anyone either. It's not my job to make people believe what I do. I thank God that I know all of this, I think it's cool that he's given me people to live for and things to say, and most importantly a life to live. Anyways, I've got to get going to work, but I'll talk to all of you kids later.
