Climbing

Listening to: Queen of the Damned
Feeling: stuck
So you want to go? Race to the top and see who makes it there first without falling. Strap in, let's go. I've got my ropes knotted in figure eights about my waist, my fingers grabbing for the holds on the rocks; where are yours? Still slipping? Dip into the chalk; or dive into your infideleties. You're right, I'm not down with what you do. Guess I'm not that cool, not that careless, or maybe I'm just stuck on the rope, too afraid to let go and lean back; No. The jury is coming. I'm climbing towards the light, slapping my hand on the bar and screaming victory. Where are you? Did your rope break? Did your hands slip? I am one of short personage; I can only reach and stretch so far; it complicates things. But trust me, I'll be climbing everywhere to find a firm holding for my hands before I take my next step. Now pull; right hand down, kunckles together, grab with the right and pull the left down, return the right to the start; there's your damned starting position. Try to be sober enough to remember. Two jobs for you, darling: Stand here on solid ground and catch the climber if they fall. And when it's your turn, don't give up. Think you can handle that? Do you have the strength, the desire, the will-power? Bite your bottom lip and lunge; there is the hold you've been crawling for. Don't break, don't break. Never let go. I'm up here waiting for you. ~~~~~~~ Had a pretty rad day; went rock-climbing with Nik. It was a good deal, we're definitely going again. Good work-out for your arms, that's for sure. One day left until school again....ew. Carrie
