The Days of Summer

My best summer memories and Sit hasn't been cooperating long enough for me to record them. But it's working now, so let the fun and jealousy unfold... Last night I got to go to the Blink 182/No Doubt concert. It was so awesome! I went with Ash, Nik, Megan, and Justin. Justin and I have known each other forever and hardly hang out and everytime we do, we always say that we need to do it more often. Anyway, it was great to be with him and the concert was just amazing. We had SO much fun! Tonight was friggin incredible as well. We went to the Buzz, which is usually an awful experience but tonight it was fantastic. Guys kept wanting to dance with me, which is always a boost of self confidence, but out of all the guys, one of them just made my night. I guess you could call him the summer fling. His name is Jordan, from a southern part of France, but he's not French (that's an insult to him) he's English! He's a gorgey English guy with good looks and a hillarious personality! To cut to the chase, a little later in the night everyone leaves us on the dancefloor alone, so we're dancing and then he kissed me. Suave as all hell. It felt so good. Not just the kiss, but the very notion of it, the very truth of it, the impact of it after all that's happened to me thus far. I'd like to thank Charlie for never calling me. Without him, this evening would not have gone as it did. Anyway, back to the story, Jordan was there with his sleepy friend, Matthew (jet lag) and we offered to take them home since they got there in a cab. So we go back to their place and just hang for a bit, chattin' and all, exchanged digits and have plans for a rendez-vous in the near future. Oh, and here's the kicker: Ash and I are going to San Diego for 4th of July and so are they! Not sure if it's the same area, but still, I couldn't believe it! As a reality check, I know they're only in town for a few weeks and Jordan probobly won't be returning next year and yada yada yada, but the excitement that I've recently been wrapped up in is intoxicating. I guess I'm just tired of saying "No, I've never done that." So cheers to new experiences and summer flings. Night "loves". Carrie
