Dreams of Cheerios and Rice Chex

I am absolutely craving a bowl of cereal. Cereal is a staple in my diet. I want it! But I can't have it. Not yet, anyway. The doctor said I have to eat soft foods for at least two weeks, so on it goes. I can't complain though, it's not too bad. I just really want some cereal. I went to the gym tonight, be proud of me. I could have sat here for an extra hour after class, but instead, I got my lazy ass up and peddled over to the SRC and ran the stationary bike a bit. Spinning. In other related news, Kris hurt himself playing basketball tonight. Hurt his ankle. After some debate, he finally ended up at the ER for an x-ray, I don't know yet the result, but his dad said he probably hurt a tendon or something. At any rate, I don't like it when my CK is broken. :( We critiqued my story in class tonight. Not great reviews, but I knew the story was lousy writing before I even turned it in, so I can't think too much of it. Only that that kid, Brown, still rubs me the wrong way. He's very bright, but I've decided there's something wrong with thim; something off. Even the most philosophical men, I'm sure, did not need to give everything profound meaning. And I hated his story. I even tried to like it. Honest. Oh, I had my interview for news director today. It went pretty well, I thought. Very short. And afterwards Leah and I talked about the Village. It turns out that I don't think she's as disappointed in me as I thought she was. In fact, she invited me to the CV banquet and to a field trip next week for a Photoshop workshop. That made me happy. It also got me thinking... I want to really learn Photoshop so I can start doing some major photo manipulation. I want to begin creating children's stories that have some rich illustrations. I figure, being an aunt and all, what better time to begin? I'll keep you posted on the news director thing. The Cronkite School, I realized, is not going to get back to me until the semester is over and I have enough credits completed to even be eligible for the school. So that's why I haven't heard from them yet. Anyway, that's all the news for now. Must prepare for work tomorrow... Carrie
