Dream Prophet (A time for enlightenment) Sleep

Dream Prophet Dream Prophet Dream Weaver Weave me a dream to remember Weave me a dream to live by Color me smiles of love and of truth Hide me the tears of the lie of our youth Dream Prophet Dream Weaver Make me a dream to let me sleep soundly Allow me think fondly Dream me profoundly Often times I close my eyes And know not what I dream But wake to discover a fantastical tale Of a life I’ve not yet seen I wait a day and live it then Reviewing what I once slept Real becomes the words I’ve said And all the tears I’ve wept Stains against my pillowcase And in the sheets I sweat Terrified Anxious Joyful Eager to open Nervous to wake Cautious of blinking As dawn far-off breaks Dream Prophet Dream Weaver Make me a believer Of fairy tales and golden trails Of ever after and soundless laughter Let me dream the feeling of tomorrow and a day One dream then finished, one more at bay Dream Prophet Dream Weaver Make me a believer That truth is in my wishes And wishes are in my dreams And everything I think I know Is exactly how it seems Darkness invites the charisma of magic The drink of stardust brings out the drunken fool In all the world’s cradles Rocking gently in careful sway From day to night and night to day Dizzy I slumber in a daze of a thought Sailing away in a wish paid and bought The morning will tear away the covers Of fantasy and reality And what was then becomes me now Lost in a dreamland sanctuary Where all is lost and once again found So dream me a lullaby Loud, nay, profound. Dream Prophet Dream Weaver You are my dream teaser Test me once, test me twice My desire speaks much the same A countenance of false pretense With an ending devoid of shame Starlight be spotlight To the center stage of emotion Where there is no mask in darkness And makeup consists of pimple cream And exfoliating lotion Amidst snores and heavy breathing speaks Truth Tomorrow might enlighten me If the morning ever comes Dream Prophet Dream Weaver You are my dream teaser Test me once, test me twice Predict my life and roll the dice Snake eyes and I can see As the lights go on And I stir to wake Walking in a living dream And nothing more Where I swear I’ve done this all Before I sleep *snaps* (I swear I don't remember thinking as I wrote this...it just kind of...fell out. My fingers were vomitting words, and this was the result. Not too bad of a mess.)
