A Close-Call for the Busy Bee

I feared I would be fired when I told my manager that, once again, at the last minute I can't work. I had to get Sunday off to do a skit for the Cotillion tea invitation for the up-coming debs, and for some reason I totally blanked on tomorrow's band concert and never requested the day off. I felt horrible, but my manager said don't worry. I'm sure I'll get the wrath of work on Wednesday when I actually do need to (and will!) work. Life's just been so crazy lately, I hardly have the thought to look at a calendar. My problem is, I live weekley; I don't look too far ahead and I'm not used to thinking about requesting days off. Anyway, I didn't get fired, but there's still the guilt of not being reliable... Finally finished my poetry notebook for english and I will proudly say that it looks amazing. I thought I was screwed for this project when I first started, but the end result is quite pleasing. Had drumline tonight...Megs and I finally know what we're doing, but we still aren't prepared for finals on Saturday. We need at least one more rehearsal to run through it maybe five times and we're good. I hope we can find the time this week. Physics trip is on Thursday (technically Wednesday since we leave at midnight). I am SOOOO excited! I can't WAIT to get on those monster rides! Funny, as a kid I was absolutely terrified of roller coasters; now, I can't get enough. I should have been taught physics as a little kid. That way, I never would have been afraid of falling out or anyting. Anyway, that will take us up to Friday--no school, drumline rehearsal I believe, and hopefully a catch-up on sleep... So, review: Tomorrow is band concert, accompanied by the Over-the-Hill Gang (aka: parents who haven't picked up their instruments in YEARS). Wed: Work till 9:30ish, then leave for cali at midnight. (rough). Thursday: SIX FLAGS!! And return home (at 2am). Friday: Sleep, practice, sleep. Saturday: Drumline comp alll day (awards at 11pm) Sunday: Church...and such begins the cycle of another week. Anyways, that's all. Glad to have my Kristofer home. : D Carrie
