A Loop in Time

The physics trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain was *awesome*. I was so happy to go on every ride I wanted to, including X and Goliath. Friggin awesome coasters. Kinday funny though, I don't get hyped up for them any more. I mean, no nerves, butterflies, jitters, nothing. I think that almost ruins the effect of the coaster, but I still thought the rides were a blast. Wes my caoster buddy. We hit-up the front row on almost every ride. And we even managed to get Ursula and Lindsay to go on just about every roller coaster, too. The lab wasn't even hard; we finished it before lunch and had the rest of the day to just go bonkers. It was awesome. The only parts of the trip that sucked were the bus rides...a girl decided to drink four energy drinks before we even began the trip, so naturally she threw-up about 3 and a half of them. That was nasty. And sleeping on a bus isn't exactly luxurious. My CD player doesn't work, so that annoyed me, and Ursula drooled on herself. Better than on me, right? The ride back wasn't too bad I guess...slept most of it...which leads us into Friday. Drumline rehearsal from 3 till about 5 (by the time I got out of there). Highlight of that day: Chocolate milk shake from Marble Slab. MMMMmmmMMMmmmm... Saturday: Slept in, did some stuff, went to school and headed off for drumline finals. We were nervous, the day was long, it was windy and rainy, but...Megan and I did amazing on our dance. It was the best run-through we've ever had, and thank goodness for that. Our movements were on the beats, we hit the right spots at the right times, we didn't falter or anything. We were so proud of how we did. As for the drumline, well, i still think they did amazing too, especially after watching the tape. But apparantly there were phasing issues and what-not, I don't know. At any rate, we were rated at an Excellent, along with almost every other school there except for the three superiors. So, that's the end. Drumline is over and marching band in all genres is sealed for the 2004-2005 school year. Carrie
