News of new homes

Jackie and Tim moved into their new house Wednesday and it's absolutely beautiful! There's still a little bit of work being done, backyard and the basement cinema/game room need to be finished. The house is very grandiose, rich in every aspect. I think my favorite room of all is Mackenzie's; she's got a mural of classic pooh and a window seat. It's a little kid haven. I've been stopping by every day this weekend to help out with pumpkin head and bring everyone some food. Yesterday Kris and I went there and left with a car full of stuff they're giving up for our new home this summer. Yesterday was a very productive day for us. After much debate over whether or not to rent a storage unit and cough up the extra $200 it would cost, we went to Kris' home and shifted some stuff around in his garage. In an hour we managed to make enough room for everything, we think. His parents were amazed; they never knew they had that much space! I also talked to a highly potential fourth roommate for us, Dina, a really nice girl who lives here in Mac who is looking for a place to live for 6 months; a perfect timetable for us, because that's about when Helen will end her current lease and come move in. I still haven't heard from Dina if she's in for sure, but she sounded really excited about it so keep your fingers crossed! In any case, Jackie said to stop freaking out about the roommate thing because come the beginning of school, there is always someone stranded without a place to live. In any case, I am extremely excited to move in to the house. I'm on duty this weekend and the constant interruption of voices on the back stairwell and random bouts of noise throughout the night reaffirmed my reasoning of why I can't stand living here anymore. Yes, it's convenient, it's fairly pretty, you feel connected...I'm over it. In other news, I submitted Delivery for Mr. McKling to a fiction contest and I should hear the results in a few weeks. I'm still waiting to hear from ASU to find out if I got into the professional program or not, and also from the Blaze to hear if I got the news director position. Too much suspense! Bear is sleeping in the next room and I don't know how he can sleep so long. It's almost ten! Well, I've got stuff to do so, ttfn. Carrie
