Spring Break, in sum

It's been too long now and the stories told over too many times for me to have the energy to recall all of it now, but spring break in its entirety was wonderful. Although I was stuck here for a few days on duty, it was nice not having obligations or things to worry about. I went to the gym, laid by the pool, took care of some odds and ends. Kris and I picked Andrew up from the airport on Tuesday and that night we all (plus Travis) camped over at my house in preparation of the early morning departure. 8 hours and several U-turns later, we arrived at Balboa and commenced an amazing two and a half days. Kris almost burned the house down, I almost burned my skin off (but it all calmed and tanned by the next morning), we took lots of fun pictures of the boys making spectacular dives, played paddle ball and volleyball, laid by the beach, rode bikes, ate delicious ice cream at Maggie Moos, played cards until 3:30 one night...Crystal spent a day and a night with us, too. We drove around looking for a place to eat at 10:00pm. All in all, it was exactly what all of us needed and were looking for. It's been a true Monday after spring break; lots to do, no motivation to do it, and everyone is lazing through the work. I know it's only Monday night, but I feel like I have a pile of work that is creeping up on me and I just don't have the energy or motivation to get to it. But I guess I must, huh? C'est la vie.
