Are things beginning to come together?

Stress, stress, stress!! Rehearsal went well today--it was crazy because we were doing so much. I had Megan and Gabby rehearsing one scene in the classroom while Brandon and Chelsea were rehearsing their scene in the front of the auditorium, and everyone else was on stage. Josh came and video-taped; I'm hoping it will help them to realize their weaknesses. Anyway, even though today was nutts, we covered a lot. I called Bruce Bigs (Bigs--like Laurence Bigs, isn't that funny?) today to see if he could paint some backgrounds for us--he did the scrim for Guys and Dolls. Bruce is out of town; I spoke to his wife, a very kind and enthusiastic woman who for some reason kept thanking me every time we said goodbye. Anyway, she said that Bruce would call tomorrow to discuss details, so it sounds like there is a very good possibility of him doing this for us--YAY. I also called dad to see if he had any extra paint around. Yes, he said, quite a bit of it. Excellent. The last thing I want is another mansion painted yellow with green sponge paint over it (Something's Afoot). GROSS! So the Rose Mansion will, if nothing else, have lovely walls. Andrew Schiller finally got back to me about being the musical bum--he said he'd do it (thank goodness) and seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. So I will be adding his name to the cast list... I arrived early at school to check-up on tech. They were pulling out platforms and wood scraps on the stage to see what they had--it's a start! Slow, but at least we're beginning to make some progress. T talked to me about set placement to elliminat as many set changes as possible and I think it should all work out smoothly. Jackie and Tim return from Tim's birthday vacation on Sunday, at which time I need to talk to them about getting posters printed so we can begin getting some publicity around campus. And school? I got a solid B on the psych test--not too bad I suppose, though I had thought I did better. The class avg. was a 33 and I got a 40 (out of 50), so I guess I can't complain. I just need to make sure I do well on the next test to secure a good grade. English was actually fun today because my regular teacher wasn't there. We had a really good looking graduate student instead who was entertaining and could actually express himself clearly. Peer-editing sucked, but these papers are a lot better than the ones in my Eng 101 class. I'm in my new favorite place right now--the study room in the library. I've given up on getting work done in the dorm room; it just doesn't work. And I am really fed-up with Tanisha. At this point, it's probobly safer for the both of us that I avoid her. Anyway, right now I'm just hoping the rest of this month goes smoothly and continues to come together like it has been today.

I hated that Somethings Afoot look. I understood what he wanted, I just didnt think sponges would get it done. Actually once the main structure was built, stairs and railings and such, and that lovely kitchen door pully system was engineered by yours truly, I had little to do with that play. The building was always what I had the most fun with anyways.

I updated by the way.
