Goodbye, 91st Lane!

We emptied the rooms and turned in our keys, packed everything tightly and shipped it to the north. I said goodbye and listened as the house echoed back. And that night, we closed the garage door on our empty home, closing off a large phase of life to be re-opened by another family. Strange, but it hasn't much effected me; at least, not as much as I thought it would. Today was eternally long and full of ups and downs. Lots of lifting, of loading, of un-loading, and moving. There's no power at the new house yet so mom, dad, and grandma are at a hotel tonight. Poor Cody--who is very confused and worried we're going to leave him somewhere--is spending the night with his cousins. I think we've all had enough negativity, so I'll leave out the ickiness and just share the good stuff: Bruce Biggs came to rehearsal today to discuss the artwork he'd be doing. He's extremely excited and enthusiastic about helping out and wants to get started right away. He's painting an incredible back-drop for me and is going to begin working on it on Monday after the tech kids flip the backdrop around. I was so excited to hear his ideas and enthusiasm! T and I discussed more set arrangements; tech 1 has now begun making two trees (it's a start, right?) and the runway is nearing completion. Tomorrow we're having a long rehearsal and I'm hoping to get some extra hands to put together props and do some minor painting. We're getting there...with everything, we're getting there... right now, I need to flop into bed. I'm exhausted. Carrie
