It smells here

I love Sunday morning sleep-ins where the only thought at waking is where to go for breakfast, no matter what time you actually wake up at. That's what Kris and I did today. Slept in really late and then walked down town Flag for a place to eat. Found a hole-in-the-wall cafe, had pancakes at 1:00, walked around the block, and lazed away the early afternoon. Unfortunately the later half of the day I had to waste sitting in bumper to bumper traffic in the middle of no where as the Sunday crowd putted back to the warmer zone of the state. The weather in Flagstaff is so gorgeous right now. It rained a little yesterday, and apparently a lot last night. I wouldn't know, I fell asleep so quickly. It was a very nice weekend though, a much-needed break. I came home (my real home) to a steak dinner and the family. We poured over the wedding plans, running this week's schedule over and over (that was the boring and stressful part). Then there was the dancing...that was the fun part. My family is such a hoot. I've officially taken the place of grandma, always there with my camera at the ready. Got some good footage of tonight. Lot's of hilarious moments to look back on. : ) So now I am back in my NY apartment and it absolutely reaks. I wish they could fix the air conditioner. I think I will complain again tomorrow. Tell them it's making me chronically ill or something. But honestly, this horrible smell just won't go away. I've got plug-ins, candles, Glade spray, and one of those cone things with the air freshener inside. I even sliced up some apples in a bowl. It still smells like something died in our vent. (And we're not the only ones with this problem). Anyway, I'm exhausted, no idea where my roommate is, but I know she was here because the trash is full and I definitely emptied it before I left on Friday. I've decided I'm not going to empty it this time. Her turn!! Goodnight all! 6 days till the wedding!!! Carrie
