Girls night out, meaning lots of story circles

I met up with my two closest girlfriends tonight, Nikki and Amy. I have extremely strange histories with both of them, but in the end, they always seem to be the ones I can count on, as remarkable as that may seem to some people. Anyways, the three of us just sat in Amy's backyard and talked for hours, listening to each other's stories. Lots of wide eyes, laughter, and girlish sighs. I think what I love most about those two is how comfortable they are being themselves. And Amy, well, she's an interesting person to the core but I love her to pieces. She's pretty near to a sister to me; we can tell each other anything. Not just about anything, but anything. Big difference there. Anyways, we talked for hours and finally at about 1, we hugged goodbye and promised to call more often. I've been told many times by many people that I'm one of those friends that you can go weeks, even months without talking to and then, on any one given night, come back to and feel like everything is just as it was, like no time has passed at all. I mention this because I want to let everyone know that if you and I haven't spoken in a while, it isn't because I've forgotten about you or don't care about you, but distance is how I keep things close. And if it has been a while, always feel free to give me a call. I know I'm busy, but there's always time for friends. Carrie
