A Year Has Passed

A year ago today I was slightly thinner, my hair maybe slighter longer, and at this moment, probably just getting back to the hotel and taking off my blue jeans and gold silk haulter. Tomorrow morning I woke up early and put on my "Maid of Honor" pink tank top and lounge pants and all the girls piled into the limo to go get "beautified". And in a few hours, we were hiding behind the vallet parking as the late guests arrived, laughing and awing over how beautiful you looked. The music began, one by one we began our long descent down the stairs and onto the lawn, the steady procession of "click, click" accompanying the harp. And then you appeared and there was an eruption of clicks. And tears. And sighs of awe. You were married. One year later we celebrated. The house looked grand, as it always does for parties. The intimate group gathered for a lovely, modest meal. Walt of course would raise his glass, and extend that everyone share their one year since the day. Well, I didn't get the chance to share what I was going to say. A lot has happened in my life since then. New house, new school year, new decisions, new friends. And many things have remained the same. I can always count on you two to be there for me and I don't think you truly realize how many times you've rescued me, either in the largest or tiniest of matters. You've given me incredible opportunities as a poor college student and are always so generous and willing to share your own happiness with me and my friends. I don't know if there's really much difference from before you were married, but it's nice to say I have a brother-in-law. Also, I can't wait to finally be an aunt...

Jill being an Aunt is amazing! I have been an Aunt since I was 10, and I love it. But in a way you are an aunt because of Kris's neice.

My creative juices are my own, whatever would you need them for?

Then again, you know I dont like it when you pout.
