Volleyball game last night. We won. I got to play for a whole big serve. We started getting rain from hurricane Jeanne yesterday and it poured last night. I got up at like 6:15 and got in the shower to find out that we were closed. We went out to eat with some people from CS. We went out to eat in Roanoke and had to cross the bridge that was next to 419. Houses all around the river were under water. Like you could only see 3 feet of the top of the house. We were comming back from going out to eat and the bridge closed after the 2 cars in front of us went by. When we were at the stop light to go a different way we saw all of these fire trucks and stuff and then we saw a river rescue team thing with rafts on the back going to where the bridge was. It was scary. So we tried to get home like 4 different ways and finally there was a brige that wasen't covered, yet. We decided to go look at River Road and the Low water bridge (river road and the low water bridge ALWAYS flood). There is a big horse feild across from the river and it was completely covered. I was about to cry, seriously. (Uh, for those who didn't know..I ride horses and yeah). We went to go look at the bridge and you could only go down to the gas station. From the gas station till where ever the water stopped was like rapids. The brige was totally covered and I'm pretty sure the rails were gone. There were huge trees stuck on the bridge and everything. Thats the bridge that like everyone crosses to go to school. They said that the river was to keep rising tonight. They also said that it is going to be like 2 inches over what they consider severe flooding. All around us got floods but Salem was the worst. Its really really bad. I think every single week since schools started we've gotten rain from the hurricane and I live in the semi-country no where near the ocean or around where they would actually get real heavy rain. Yeah, I'm def scared though because we've gotten floods before but not nearly this bad. :[ We'll prob be out of school tomarrow, too. My biggest fear is downing so I'm def afraid of water!!!! Ahh.
