Dear Diary,
SV pretty much rocks. There was a football, soccer, volleyball, and hockey game today. They won all of them. Wow!
I don't know why I'm so into sports. Maybe it's just the fact that we're WINNING all the freakin' time! Hee hee. My senior year is the best year ever. How convienent!
Oh, and of course, kudos to the band! Half-time was BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen the marching band look more polished and talented than I saw them tonight. It was SO COOL! I really want to go to BBI this Saturday.
Okay! So my cousin Katie moved up here! And she's going to SV! Starting tomorrow! I hope she likes it here. I wish I could help her make friends, but she's a soph, and I don't know any sophmores... Hm... Oh well. I took her to the game tonight and we had SO MUCH FUN. Ha!!! And fun story!!! I was driving her home, and she lives clear downtown with her sister. So we leave SV and happen to be right next to this car with two guys in it. We're blasting Fall Out Boy, and the guys next to us start dancing to it! So we're cruising down main head-banging together! Oh they were totally checking us out. And then we start RACING each other! Ha! Of course I always won... Actually, not really! But that's only because my car is a crap car. Tee hee. Anyway. We talked a little bit at a stoplight, and they were from MC (whose football team we had just crushed) so that was awkward... lol no it was fun. And Katie really enjoyed it---I think she's the kind of person who thrives on that kind of stuff. GOOD TIMES.
Now for the not so good times. After school I went with my mom and my dad to the hospital for my dad's back surgery. It got postponed for nearly two hours, so I wasn't even able to see him before I had to leave for the game. But he got out of surgery just before the game, and they said everything went well and he was doing fine. I haven't heard much, but I think the pain in his leg has gone down. Not sure about the giant hole they cut in his back... I'll have to ask about that tomorrow. My mom is sleeping over at the hospital with him... Which is strange. No parents. Anyway. I really think that everything is going to work out---and he should be able to be back to normal within... eight weeks! Or, knowing my dad, six and a half! He's too impatient to be down for long.
Oh, and we just found out that my cousin has to come home from her mission tomorrow. Apparently she has to have gallbladder surgery...
EVERYONE is having surgery lately. Frankly, it's creeping me out. Seriously, I know of FOUR people who have had surgery in ONE week... Hopefully we're done for the time being...
In other news... I don't think I've done a bit of homework this week. Nothing at all. I work in school, but once I get home, I don't even glance at my book bag. I just haven't cared about it... SENIORITIS! Well, I hope that's all it is.
(I called Eric's house last night to ask his mom what time he got home from work. I told her to tell him that I called... But he hasn't called me back or anything. Hmm. I've officially decided I love his mom, though! She's so sweet.)
Tomorrow is Friday! Ha... I think I'm going to make Cassie go see a (midnight?) movie with me... "Flicka." I don't know anything about it, except it's got some hot guy in it... TEE HEE!!!
Well. This house is FREEZING and I'm slightly tired. And I've got 6 a.m. rehearsals. So I'm off to bed! Or somewhere close to it...
Love,
Lisa Ann
