Dear Diary,
Oh. My. Freaking. Heck. Best weekend I've ever had. I don't even think that's an exaggeration. I'm so happy it's sick. I make myself sick I'm so happy! I keep jumping up and down and smiling and laughing for no reason. It's... wow.
A brief overview of everything that happened this weekend:
1. I got Fall Out Boy tickets!
2. I got a boyfriend!!
3. I got third place in the region drama competion!!!
It was pretty much amazing.
So Friday Brady and I, and Kadee and Luke, all went out. Brady had to meet my mom that day, and he was so nervous because of the whole sluffing school thing. So he and Luke said a prayer before they got to my house! But it went fine. We did so much stuff on the date! It was fun.
First we went to Charlie's and got ice cream. Oh yum. I love that place.
Then we went to the Fun Park and did Lazer Tag. We split into teams and Brady and I pretty much kicked butt. We were good! lol I loved it. It was way fun.
After that we went rollerblading. It was extremely cute. I couldn't get my skates on so Brady put them on for me... We held hands the entire time we were skating. First time I've ever done that. Happiness!
I have to tell you how Brady asked me to be his girlfriend! It was about the most awkward and random timing. But it still made me smile. We went to the school dance thingy and in the parking lot on the way in we met Kiki. Kiki's my neighbor. She's crazy but cute. She saw Brady and I holding hands and was joking around and telling him to drop my hand and stuff. He didn't. So she asked me if we were "official." I was like uh... I looked and Brady and he was like, "Do you want to be?" And I think I said sure... lol... It was awkward. Man I like that kid. Kadee told me that he had been talking about how he wanted to ask me that... Kiki just kinda forced the issue, I guess... lol. Anyway. I was happy.
We went into the dance, but then decided it sucked. So we decided to go bowling! Unfortunately, because of our 10 curfew (and the long wait at the bowling alley) we only got about half a game in... but it was still fun.
We raced home to make curfew. When we got home, we got out of the car and Brady gave me a hug---he said he didn't want to say goodbye in front of my mom. But I figured she probably wasn't watching so we held hands on the way up to the door. Then when we got there, Brady came to give me another hug---and the door flew open! Brady literally jumped back like three feet! It was hilarious! We were just hugging, but he was so startled! lol. We all laughed forever.
Oh! I forgot! Sometime during the night, my sister sent me a pix message of some Fall Out Boy tickets. Then she called me. I told her I was jealous, and that she should've gotten me some, too. And she's like... Well, we did. I FREAKED OUT. I was so excited!!!! Apparently Gary bought them for Kadee and I. I ran and grabbed Kadee and we were screaming and jumping up and down. Pretty sure Brady thought I had lost my mind... lol. I am so excited though!!! May 10th! Woo!
Hmm... yes the date... went really well... We pretty much held hands the whole time...
Okay. Saturday! Region drama competion for individual events! As well as the awards assembly for the entire competion. Basically I went and did my monolouge for three judges. It was nerve-wracking, hard, and a little bit fun. My monologue is Clear Glass Marbles by Jane Martin. It a hearbreaking dramatic monolouge. I love it. and apparently the judges did, too. Anyway. So after all the IE events were finished, we went in the auditorium for the results.
(How it works is each event {dramatic, pantomime, humorous, and classical and cotemporary scenes} has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Then they tally up all the scores from all the schools, and basically, whoever has the most overall superiors in everything combined wins. )
Then they announced the winners, and I got third place in dramatic monolouge! It was freaking aweosome. I was stunned. Really. I couldn't believe it. I practically skipped up there to get my medal. Yeah. i have a medal. I was the only SV winner in dramatic. But there were a lot of other winners in other events. I think... four other medals were handed out to SV. It was awesome.
Then they announced the overall region competion winners. They started at 7th place and worked their way up... oh it was terrifying! I was sure we weren't going to win. But we did! We took region! FIRST PLACE! Yes! It was so freaking awesome. So almost all of us are going to State. It's going to be way fun.
Yeah. So that's pretty much why it was the best weekend ever. I got fall out boy tickets, a boyfriend, and an award, all within 24 hours. It ROCKED.
Love,
Lisa Ann
