come on

Word of the Day: obdurate
I miss: how it used to be the girls dorm life the UD bubble 114 and 183 the love of learning remembering Rome with the people who were there RFoC the pressure of writing three papers in a week Charity Week/Octoberfest/Cotillian/Battle of the Bands waking up to Dean Martin and Kim's body pillow the girls
How much things change and yet stay the same. ______________________________________________________ I can feel it now. It's in the air, it's all over the place. Finally, autumn is coming to south Texas. For the past couple of mornings it was chilly when I would go to work, so I decided to put on my jacket [not the new one] for the ride there. Disappointed. I walked outside and instead of crispness and cool, it was damp and sticky again. 'Bah,' said I, 'and bah again!' I can't wait till it's jacket weather, till the leaves fall off the trees, till it's cold outside. What can I say, I'm just a frosty type of girl. Betty's been making me real mad. I suppose it's because I left her alone for about two and a half months, but she's been doing stupid things with my music files. I was about to put a cap up in her if my/Kim's/Michelle's Rome pictures were messed up in any way, but it looks like they weren't tamperd with. But man, I had copies of songs, songs that were randomly deleted, I don't know. Most of it was what I put on her in Rome from Michelle's CD's [very very good music] and after I got home, but it's still stupid. JD said he didn't know what had happened, pansy. He's the one who's good with computers. So there, Betty, put that in your pipe and smoke it. Work has been kicking my butt lately. There are too many new people at the desk, and I'm just plain tired. I miss working with David who would do most of the work himself and let me help. No, no, instead I'm the only one who know's what's going on and am the main instead of the support and it's hard all the time. Because, of course, the people who have been there longer work with the new people to train the new people, but it just tires us out. Ah, what can I say? I really do like doing what I'm doing apart from the rude people and the uncooperative operating system and the faulty electronic equipment and various and sundry other things that go wrong. And apart from being friendly, I'm good at being a hotel receptionist. No news in the baby front. Other than I'm a fat pig. I'll keep you posted.

Me again,
So, charity week was probably one of the best we have had in a long time. I've been kinda anti-social this semester (aparently I'm now called Kim the Hermit) so I don't know all the exciting stories with the Jail or anything like that, but the tuck-ins were great (we got four! I got a goodnight kiss from tommy...practicaly on my ear though...) and I escaped from jail! We raised more than $16,000!
The male auction raised $4000!
