leaving town

Word of the Day: see below Answer to the question--Probably so. I made a reservation today for some reporter guy from New York City from CBS. Of course, I don't think he'll be coming due to the manditory evacuations of the county and the hotel shutting it's doors to guests and employees tomorrow at 1 in the afternoon. Thank goodness for Jeff--he would've had to have stayed to run the place if the hotel stayed open. We're going to Uncle Dale's in Austin until they let us come back. On my way to pick up Patrick, I nearly started crying as I saw the lines at the gas stations and the traffic. /expire * 7:03pm * I found this on weather.com on our hurricane local statement-- ALL RESIDENTS OF THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST SHOULD BE IN THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING THEIR PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. [bold is my own add] As if I'm not scared and freaked out enough, thank you, weather.com.

At first for some reason I thought you said you were evacuating TO new york city - and that you would be here and we could meet up! and that would be awesome!

oh well, either way, I'm so glad you're getting out of there.
well, it makes me feel better to know you have somewhere to go.

Love you Ash, keep usposted as much as you can.

I am definitely thinking of you. If you or your family need anything at all, let us all know. I know that everyone from SitD would give you the shirt off our backs if you need it.

Love,
Liz
