welcome to wherever

Word of the Day: belfry I need to start writing more again just because I'm missing out on some good Words of the Day. I wonder how I even thought to start putting them on here. Was I on m-w.com one day while writing an essay and just decided to link the WotD in my sitD, or was there a point to it? If there was, I don't remember it. Any road, no word yet from VISD. JD's friend who works there told him to wait at least a week after they stopped interviewing people [which was this Tuesday last] to expect any word at all, and I'm thinking that since it's Easter holidays and they might not have even been working Friday, it'll probably be this Tuesday before they even started talking about it. JD said they interviewed about twenty people in all. Andrew, his friend, said he'd stepped out of this round of hiring because he personally knew thirteen of the twenty applicants, but he said he'd given his boss his top three and JD was first on his list. Now that might not mean anything at all because I don't know how well Andrew's opinion matters, but let's hope it matters a lot. Still, I find my mind wandering to how nice it would be for JD to have this job [or, sometimes, any job at all]. He'd be making oodles of money. I fantasize about how I'm going to quit my job, what my two weeks letter will be like to write, if I want to go down to part time and what I'll say to Sherryl about that. Oh, man, it just makes me so happy until I remember that it's not a given he's not guaranteed the job. And, speaking of jobs, there's a new lady at work named Theresa. She worked at the Ramada in Corpus when Mr. Hsu owned it doing everything in accounting and personnel. She collected tons and tons of money for them down there, so they brought her back up here to try to collect on some of the very old and very large accounts [like Halliburton, Schlumberger, and Weatherford to name a few]. She seems like a nice lady so far, so that'll be a pleasant change from awkward Mark. Also nice will be a functional accounting office with three people working in it, like when I started back there. Ah, efficiency. Okay, I'm going to take a nap. Naps are awesome. I was going to write a lot more about JD and I talking about how we're both annoying but working things out in the end and watching movies, but all of a suddnen I'm bombing.

I think I'll take a nap too.

I am crossing my fingers endlessly until I hear about the job. I really want him to get it for you three.
Any word on the job?

P.S. A nap sounds great right about now (5:14 am)
