mission successful

Word of the Day: acumen I succeeded in my mission of finding myself a maternity/nursing bra. And my breasts are very very happy. __________________________________ JD and I are officially husband and wife. Without rings. We discovered after the ceremony that his ring was way too big for him [the lady ordered him the wrong size--a 10 instead of a 9], and that my ring was too small for my comfort. So we went back to Zales, got our fingers resized, and we'll get new ones Tuesday. But it's kind of sad, really. We had our rings for about three hours before we went to Zales and had to give them back. So now we're married and we're going on a mini road trip over the weekend to the Renaissance Festival. It's going to be fun. We went to Wal*Mart a few nights ago to buy snacks and stuff for the trip, some of which is already eaten/drunk. But we're going to go, it's going to be beautiful Texas fall weather, and we're going to hang out with cool Renaissancesque peoples. We had a front desk meeting yesterday afternoon [sans Ryan, who got fired the day before] about the upcoming inspection in December. We have a month to get our scores up to at least a 65, which will be a great struggle for us. Linda yelled at us, and they had sandwiches [of which I ate half of the platter]. We got a new phone script for answering and for courtesy calls. 'It's a great day at the Holiday Inn Victoria' - [is it really?] - 'This is Ashley. How may I be of service today?' [well, now that you mention it...] Yeah, I don't know how well I'm going to like the new script, but I don't want to get fired. Because, of course, if we don't pass the inspection, I don't think we'll be able to keep our flag and won't be a Holiday Inn anymore. And that would be horrible. Mah.
