We went to see X2 for my birthday last night. I've effectively continued my tradition of seeing the X-Men movies on opening nights. Now that I think about it...that's kind of sad.
I love movies. I wish I could work in the film industry. I think it would be awesome to be a cinematographer. I mean, it's amazing what a little different lighting pattern or camera angle will affect a scene or even the whole film. Some of the films I cinematographiclly love: Shadowlands (oh, but that's not fair--I love every single aspect of this film), Road to Perdition, all of The Lord of the Rings films, Hearts in Atlantis, Citizen Kane. They're all beautiful.
I dream in Cine-Vision. My dreams are like movies. When things are bad, colors are dark and muted. When things are good, colors are light and vivid. Sometimes, a trick gets thrown in and something bad happens when the colors are light. I'm hardly a character in my dreams, and when I am I hardly see things through my own eyes. It's like I'm watching myself walk down a road. My dreams pan from side to side, they fade in and out, they have close-ups and long shots. The only thing that's missing is a soundtrack.
glad you had fun on your bday :-)
