[Trinny and Susannah run into the salon]
Trinny—‘Geneve, we’re Susannah and Trinny from BBC 2’s “What Not to Wear,†and you’ve been nominated by your nearest and dearest friends for our fashion advice.’
Geneve—‘What, what, what is going on?! Who did this?’
Susannah—‘Geneve, you know your good friend Pam?’
Geneve [with a look of surprise] —‘De bitch!’

So I bought another, slightly smaller, suitcase for everything that’s not clothes. I’ve packed nearly everything once already just to prove to myself that it’ll all fit into two simple suitcases. Now everything’s lying around my room all willy-nilly waiting to be put back into the suitcases. Mommy’s been cooking many good things lately since it’s my last week here. I should leave more often if she’s going to do that to me.
I was reading on the couch this afternoon when the phone rang. Mommy handed the phone to me for some reason, because she says she knew it was going to be for me. I answered it, and it was Laurel saying she was on her way to my house. I was all like, ‘Laurel!!!’ So she came over and spent some time over here. I’m so glad I was able to see her right before I left, and hopefully she decides to say home tomorrow night so we can do something or something. It’s not that if I were staying in the country I’d be seeing her anyway because I wouldn’t, but it’s just that I’m going to Europe and won’t see her for four months. That’s a little different from being only four hours away because being four hours means there’s a possibility of visiting.
I tried to curl my hair with my ten year old half-inch curling iron this afternoon. It was a disaster. I thought it was a brilliant idea until I remembered that I don’t know what I’m doing and my hair generally doesn’t cooperate with me when I’m trying to do things like that. Needless to say, Mommy started making fun of me and I got frustrated and gave up. Although now my hair is flipping out how I like it to so I guess that makes me a little bit happy.
I was working Thursday afternoon, my last day of work, when all of a sudden I see Miss Barron, Miss Davis, and Mrs. Manning walk though the door with some kids. I was all like, ‘Miss Barron!!! What are y’all doing here?!’ I went out in front of the desk and gave her and Brashad a hug, and she told me they were looking at having prom at the Holiday Inn since the County Services building burned down and won’t be repaired before the summer at least. I started thinking of how good an idea that really was. Everyone goes to Victoria to eat before prom anyways, so it’s not like it’s too far out of the way. And even then, they could contract with the restaurant and have some sort of sit-down dinner before prom so that no one has to worry about that. Dude, why did we not think of that? Any road, I was happy to see some people I knew at work. That always makes me happy.
Monday’s the day for going calling.
3 days to Rome.
I left UD 3 semesters ago- a self imposed exile... never to return... I miss some things, and not others...mostly the eager intellectualism that I haven't found at my current Cath-Univ. Sigh...
and Eddie is the guy in my book and they always have flashbacks to his birthday. so i thought i'd celebrate it. (five people you meet in heaven by mitch albom... GREAT book)
GOOD LUCK PACKING

I think that maybe your Wednesday off for your fair is what King Day is for us here. LoL Everyone goes to the fair today, because that's the only weekday that we can. :D We're so clever.
