Word of the Day: satiety
My first week in Rome is nearly over and done with. Classes start for real tomorrow, and I've still got so much stuff to read. Dumb teachers.
This is St. Paul's Outside the Walls, my favorite church in Rome, probably in all of Italy and the world. It's gigantic but uncluttered with statues and things like St. Peter's [which isn't bad, just annoying at times], but it feels strangely like home for me. Such beauty men are able to produce...which rarely last.
We went into Rome yesterday, on our own free time. To St. Paul's the Abovementioned, to the Mouth of Truth the belowmentioned, and wandered around till we got to the Vatican. It's amazing what you can find with you put the maps away and start walking to places which seem rather interesting. I wish I weren't scared and would decide to go into the city by myself and do absolutely whatever I wanted. But alas, I'm a pansy and would rather be with people, indeed.
Me before the Mouth of Truth...
...and me after. 'AAAAAAHHHHHHH, my haaaaaaaaaaaand!!!!!!'

Those last two are cute.
It's awesome that you're in Roman. ::sigh:: I've always wanted to go to Europe. Maybe after college. Too many things right now LoL
You changed the faded patriotic! Haha. :oD
