I hate that Aaron hates my school. I hate that he won't give my friends a chance. He doesn't feel particularly comfortable here, but I don't feel particularly comfortable at his school sometimes, either. Like on Friday when I went to his flag football championship game and watched the girls flock around him and him flirt back. 'Oh, Ashley, you know he's just really friendly.' Back to the point. Everytime he comes over here he's miserable. He can't even try to have fun. The dance was fun last night, but he wouldn't give it a chance. He wouldn't even dance. It's not like people knew him and would make fun of him or anything. I don't know what he thought my friends would do or say, but they wouldn't have been mean to him. They would have been mean to me, but surely not to him. He must not realize that I don't feel comfortable at his school sometimes (espeically when he leaves me by myself with people who I barely know names), but I can cope. I don't have to be in a familiar setting to be all right. That's why we always go to his apartment after anything at my school. I feel like I have to make it up to him since he doesn't have a good time here, so I might as well go and make him feel better in his comfort zone. So the dance was good last night, the hour I was there. Everyone except Aaron and I were gung-ho all about the theme ('Dance Through the Decades'). It was really funny, but two were funniest. !. Ben and Gavin. Oh my goodness, it was so great. Ben was in some hideous striped shirt with 70's-style maroon pants. He drew in these huuuuuuuuuge Dr. Hadley-like mutton-chop sideburns that were tinted maroon for some strange reason, and he also had drawn in a multitude of chest hair, which also appeared to be red. Gavin, also, had on this hideous pink and gray striped shirt and 70's-style grey pants. His hair was sort of matted to his head and pushed forward, very 70's retro. Those two stole the show. They strutted up and down the mall and were wild and crazy, and it was so great. @. Phil and Tommy. So, as it turned out, these two were going to the dance together (recall the Gay Greek Tuck-In that Kim got on video). Phil waited in Hagger Foyer for about fifteen minutes before Tommy showed up. They were to know their dates by the matching flowers they were to have. So when I saw Tommy walking up in his 50's badass outfit, I watched Phil like a hawk. He was playing with his flower, kind of not paying attention, when Tommy walked up. Tommy, with a look of surprise, took out his flower from his pocked, said, 'What's going on?!' and threw it at Phil's feet. Phil, confused, looked at the flower and then at Tommy, and then at his roommate and was all like, 'I can't believe you did this!' And we all laughed. They were good sports about it, though, and realized it hung on their Charity Week antics. They did a silly dance together, and all was well. I forgot last night was Daylight Savings Time, so Aaron brought me back for mass an hour early. I went to the church and there was nooooo one there. I'm all like, 'Aw, crap. Damn Daylight Savings Time.' So I went to my room and slept until mass really started. The end.
